In a recent scientific survey United Nations research numbered 46,000 pieces of waste in every square mile of ocean.
Installed in to the ‘Substation Project Space’ in Margate, a crate sits marked with area co-ordinates, its insides cushioned to deter further destruction of those objects that have undergone specific collection and collation. Atop of this three sodden reference books archive each wave worn piece of marine plastic with an identity a number and history; the consequence of a questionable compulsivity rivalling that of any obsessive hunter of archaeological artifacts or museum treasures.
